Tough economic and political times have disproportionately impacted the women who we, at the Ms. Foundation for Women, work to support, particularly low-income women and women of color. Therefore, it is even more important that we remain a strong voice for change and continue to champion their voices and solutions.
In 2011, under the leadership of newly appointed President and CEO Anika Rahman, the Ms. Foundation for Women undertook an extensive strategic planning process. We thoughtfully and systematically evaluated our organizational priorities within the context of the current environment and mapped out a path for greater impact in the future.
After months of discussions with internal and external stakeholders -- including staff, grantees, sister organizations, scholars, philanthropic leaders and many others -- we are happy to unveil our strategic plan. Together we can ignite change for women, families and communities nationwide.
